#1 Post by lumpy »

People:me

Duration:2000-2130

Tide:hw 2100

Weather:cloudy, looked as if it would rain, wind had died to a f 3 w/nw.. was f6/7 w all day

Bait:fly

Results:1 1/2 lb bass

Catch and Release: Yes

Report:

after digging lug all day for the weekend and the wind had finally died i decided to try my favourite bass mark.on arrival the sea was flat calm but very cloudy, not ideal.as i wouldnt be able to get out till the weekend i soldiered on. after about 10 casts with a white and olive hollow fleye i had a savage take, the rod hooped over and a bass of a pound and a half took off in the other direction. after about 3 mins i had him in the shallows where i was able to get a pic and slip him back with the minimum of fuss...hadnt a follow or a strike after but who could complian

p.s. changed pic as i relized i posted the wrong one off my phone

size 1/0 mustad c 70, bass have fairly big mouths and will take this size quite easily. i'll use anything up to a size 3/0 depending on pattern.

ya pete their still around in numbers.the amout of bird activity was unreal, seemed to be diving everywhere..long may it last
