CPR - catch photo return

#1 Post by JimH »

Remember to practice good catch and release policies - especially if fishing for bass

de-barb all treble hooks on lures
de-barb all single hooks on flies or rigs
re-duce the number of treble hooks on lures
land your fish quickly
avoid overstressing the fish - it is not neccessary to overplay bass
avoid unneccessary handling of the fish
if and when handling use wet hands and no cloths or landing nets
do not drag the fish over sand or rocks
release the fish whilst its still in the water
practice making fotos at home to avoid fish out of water time
if neccessary hold the fish upright in the flow of water to allow re-oxyegenation
avoid any unneccessary stress to the fish

LIMIT YOUR KILL RATHER THE KILLING YOUR LIMIT.
