Results:1 1/2 lb bass

Catch and Release:: Yes

Report:

interesting and at times frustrating day after bass. hooked just the 1.... and missed about 8 takes, one time a bass took my fly 3 times during the same retrieve with out taking it, on a seperate occasion a bass of about 3 lbs sheppered my fly for about 10 yards with out taking it, how frustrating can it get. also had bass attacking jeuvanile sandeel about 10yds out. eventually got one to take a hollow fleye half an hour after hw. the bass took the fly with a savage take and then took 15 yards of line, paused and then took another ten, all the time traveling uptide, this leading me to think i had at least hooked a five pounder. i was amazed to see when i got him into the shallows it only weighed about a pound and a hlaf. i can genuinely say ive had 5 lb bass on fly that didnt fight as hard.

p.s. also as you can see from the pic the bass was in excellent condition
