Seatrout...AARGH
5 seatrout, 4 seatrout, loads of seatrout??? This story went around about a wee spot i fish last year. They came in droves looking for them, even in the winter, and still people are arriving and saying "5 seatrout caught here the other day" "where are they mate" And they are told by myself and anyone else that fish the spot, "sorry mate, no seatrout here".. But they still come and try.I even know of a tackle shop that send them down. I cant say 100% that there are no trout, but i are any of the other guys that fish the spot have not caught or even seen one. Now the bashers are out too and asking about the macks, and again its the same " not a good spot for them mate, not seen one yet".. But they look at me as if i am telling porkies...Its a big joke now with us as we get to shout, SEATROUT SEATROUT all the time
Whats the biggest load of c**p you guys have heard about youre local mark?? it would be good to hear.

"Ye won't catch them on bread son, snib them with a german sprat"
Said to me as I played a 3lb mullet behind the dogtrack at Shelbourne park.

if he stood 460 yrds from the shore, of course he could cast to a quarter of a mile.... from the shore that is

Pal of mine digging bait (lug worm) at low tide....2 Americans (man and a woman) ask him...."what you doing" as they look in his bucket at the worms, he tells them that he works for the government and his job is to dig the worms out twice every day so that they dont drown when the tide comes in.....the guy looks at the size of the beach and said.."wow...you dig this whole place twice every day"

LOL, brilliant!
I was fishing for salmon one time and this rambler stopped for a chat. When he asked what I was fishing for he told me not to be stupid, there were no salmon in the river.
Next cast, bang, into a nice 5lbs fish.
"You were saying...."
Its called fishing, not catching. If it was called catching it wouldn't be fishing!
