Distance trawlers can fish from shore

Just wondering whats the distance trawlers can fish from the shore saw one bout 750 meters out dragging net from from a local known bass spot.

they can basically fish where they want - its only if they are in possesion of illegal catches that gets them in trouble - and then there is by catch - as far as i know

I think corbyeire is wright it depends on what they are fishing for and also what part of the coast they are fishing BUT there is a Gentleman's agreement that you don't fish less than 1.5 miles from shore :evil:

All i can say is there cant be to many Gentlemen left :twisted:

thanks for da info lads my mate taught they had to be 6 miles out.
