rod choice

#1 Post by col »

I know many will cringe at the tought of a travel beachcaster but I find 'em usefull. Looking for opinions on these two; the Shakespeare Salt beach 11'6" 6 piece(rrp £75 getable for £55) and the Fladen beach, 6pc 12' rod(rrp 89.99 gettable for £60)

Had the Fladen and it was pretty good(got stolen a few months after being bought), rather floppy but benifited in that it was light and could be used spinning with 2oz aswell as ledgereing with 4/5oz. http://www.tacklebargains.co.uk/acatalo ... _Rods.html

The shakespeare Salt certainly looks a nice rod, a decent brand, its slightly shorter but I know little about it. http://www.bosfish.co.uk/PRODUCTS/RODS/ss553beach.htm

Any opinions welcome, good or bad :D
