new quay, just about clare, 22nd june 07

#1 Post by corbyeire »

People:myself and rolly

Duration: 11 til 2.30pm

Tide: high at 11

Weather: glorious - sunny humid, light NE i think

Bait: lug mack

Rigs: 2 hook flapper, pulley, lures

Results: nothing, well fish wise, crabs crabs crabs

Catch and Release:: Yes/No

Report: ive realised ive taken up a new sport over the last month or so - crabbing - between new quay, ballyloughan and carraroe :lol:

thought id hop the border and see what was happening at new quay - nothing really - no real surf

terns were hitting sprats - few bits of movement on the surface - but nothing interested in the lures

bait was being stripped fairly quickly - crabs

bit of weed on the ebb

conditions were very mild - sun shinning - so decided to go for a swim - beautiful

make the most of a another bad/quiet session
