#1 Post by Danny M. »

People:Myself and Barry

Duration:5 hours - 8pm - 1am

Tide:rising - high tide 12amish

Weather:overcast, no wind , flat calm.

Bait:Freshly dug lug and rag.

Rigs:2 hook flapper.

Results: Me 3 L.S.D.S, 1 Flounder and 1 Bass
Barry 1 L.S.D. 1 Plaice and 1 Coal fish.

Catch and Release:: yes all were returned.

Report: We fished just under the steps leading down to the beach. The two flats showed around 9pm, distance 50yrds, plaice took rag and the flounder took lug. Next the coal fish around 10ish, again to lug same distance. All quiet then until I tried a sneaky cast of about 15yrds while Barry was tending to a monumental birds nest  , result was a bass approx 14" again on lug. Next cast same distance , the rod 10mins in the stand i wasnt paying attention when barry let a roar at me, here was my tip tornado bent double in the stand, I struck into it and missed. Cest la vie, the dogs followed in quick succession at an unbelieveble close distance until we packed up at 1am. There was minimal weed down there.
