#1 Post by ady »

Hello,

I am wanting to tap into the wealth of knowledge here.

Thinking of buying a tripod, looked at a few of ian gold ones,

Does any one what to suggest what type!

I am going to use it for sandy beaches, shingle and if possible from rock marks.

Any suggestion???

I asked about tripods a while back. Got some good advice:

Went for the 6ft Ian Golds Super Match Rest.

Make sure it has the name "IAN GOLDS" on it.....you wouldn't believe how many anglers get in touch with him asking to replace broken parts on their tripods and it turns out they are not his.

Lots of guys go into a tackle shop and ask for an Ian Golds rod stand, and think because the guy gives him a tripod made from aluminum that its one of Goldsy's...like I say, every Ian Golds stand has the name on it.

For what your wanting it for, the 6ft or 7ft Super-Match is the way to go.

Belfast Angling Centre stocks Ian Golds products in both of their shops.
