Report: Best fishable surf I have seen all year down there, my hopes were high to say the least. Fished just left of the rock at 10-60yrds distance...nothing!!! My previous session here in April threw up 6 species. There was another angler fishing about 30yrds to my left, he had been fishing the rising of the tide and got two small bass on lug but as soon as the tide turned he also got no activity on his rod.

is ballyhealy near kilmore ? i fished a beach last year and dont know its name turned left in kilmore (the village not quay )and then took a right fished next to a massive bolder had a good days sport bass and flats and the parking was right at the beach nice lazy mark :D
