Zzipplex 3500s review..

At the suggestion of various members and given the magazines will run a mile from criticising a piece of kit, here is your chance to tell us what you really think about a rod, reel, line, lure... keep it legal please!

Zzipplex 3500s review..

#1 Post by stevecrow74 »

well after owning this beast for nearly 6 months i figure i have used it enough to give it a review...

Length: 13ft
casting weight: id say anything you give it it will cast it
rod weight: extremely light (with a 7ht attached it doubles its weight)
section lengths: 6ft & 7ft (handy for transport)

the tip is light enough for detecting flattie bites but yet strong enough to lift a 6lbs thornie with out bending too much..

casting is like a dream.. with the rod being light you can feel the lead right through the cast..
my personal favourite weight to cast is a 4oz and using the 7ht loaded with suffix tritanium 15lbs mainline and approx 28ft of shockleader...

after casting other rods, like the Abu Suveran and AA bigbeach, AA match, k2 blue metal and various other rods i can see why the Zziplex is a sought after rod... well worth the money in my opinion...

overall rating 9/10.. (loses a point because it doesn't fit in my rod holdall, the top foot sticks out)
