Report:After the disapointment of Clonea got up at 4am to go plugging at first light, plenty of fish moving but none fancied any of the plugs or spinners I was throwing at them, was back in bed by 7.
Had promised my cousin John we'd do a bit of fishing on Sunday. We set off @ 10am and were fishing over high water by 11, I got in first with a doggie first cast, John was in shortly after with a codling of a couple of pounds and this continued for about an hour.
I was fishing toward a sandbank with crab hoping for a smoothie when I got a slack liner, picked up and had a fish going bananas on the end, landed a lovely 3lb bass. Shortly after John lost his trace in the rough stuff, he quickly tied another and cast it back where he was picking up the codling, he got a nice bite and struck, fish on ws the cry so I climbed down to land the fish when I saw his trace coming back blank, i then saw his leader wrapped around the lead and started pulling it in, low and behold there was a bass on the other trace he had lost, again about 3lbs, possibly the luckiest bass & angler in the country
