Shannon Estuary 9-6-07

People: Me and Estuary lad

Duration: 6-11

Tide: low water 7

Weather: sunny, slight breeze, died off late on

Bait: mackerel sandeel squid

Rigs: 3 hook clipped and flappers

Results: Me: 12lb huss, 2 dogs, 2 tub gurnard, dab, poorcod, lobster. EL: 6 dogs, 1 small huss, 2 tub gurnard, 1 pollock, 1 poorcod.

Catch and Release:: Yes



Report: Good session on the island, huss gave a great fight, took a gurnard that was already hooked, along with this was a dog on the top hook. Good session overall.

nice fishing lads the weather seems good down your way too look out the shorts will be out next !! what bait did the gurnard fall too ?

Ya the wather was great. The gurnard were taking both eels and mackerel.

Great fishing lads, would like to catch a huss of that size. Nice to see estuary lad out fishing.

Did the tide pull much on the flood.
