Myrtleville Cork??
Im going down here to go fishing with some college friends they usually only fish out on a boat for congers and that,, was just wondering if anybody fishes here or nos anything about the shore fishing in this area just wondering is it worth bringing down the spinning rod heard there might be a chance of bass??

Spun the rocks to the right of the beach in March but had no joy. The ground there though lookss perfect for bass so I'd say it would be well worth taking the lures with you.

As Pete says... However, off the beach itself, I dont know what it might throw up as I have only fished it once. Just had a small slug (shore rockling) that evening but I would say it holds more than that. Heard of dabs, flounder and whiting caught from here. Its one of those beaches that people spin for macks from the sand in the summer time to good effect. It seems to shelve quite steeply so there should be reasonable depth there.
