Malin Head Pier 06/06/07

#1 Post by PaddyB »

Me:

An Hour:

About the last hour of its way in:

Glorious:

Small Rag:

Self made two up:

7 or 8 1/2 to 1lb Coalies and 1 1lb Pollack:

Catch and Release:: Yes

As I have said on here before I am only just getting back into fishing after about 15 years out. I used to only go boat fishing from Moville, Culdaff, Downings etc. Recently however having just moved home again from Belfast, I have got the notion to go fishing again. Last night was a bit of a last minute thing and as I miss timed the tide, I was left heading towards malin with only a few small Rag. I got there about 8.30pm and left between 9.30 and 10.00. All fish where taken on the upper of my two hook rig. The pollack which put up a great fight on light gear was taken about 30yards of the nose of the pier. I am sure though, looking at the genral layout of the place and armed with a better range of bait, this place will throw up some cracking sport as the season goes on!
