Catch and Release:: Yes/No
Report: Headed out to the rocky headland to the left of the Red Strand, long hard slog with lots of gorse stabbin at the legs. When eventually got down to the water it looked perfect but as so often the case I didn't get a touch. Spent about 2 hrs trying various lures/jellies with no luck so headed back to the car and drove out to Galley Head.
Fishing below the lighthouse produced quite a few mackerel of mixed sizes. Small pollock and coalies also fell to the shrimpers but when I tried jellies for any bigger pollock things went quiet. Still with a bag of fresh macs I was happy enough. Still I'm looking forward to the end of the bass ban.
