are you aloud to fish ballycastle pier

Been told it is a private pier is this so, are there restrictions. Has anyone had hasstle on this pier from locals

you are aloud on some of it but there are gates which are kept locked you are not aloud on this part unless you have special permission from the council.our club fishes comps on it ever year but we have special permission granted by the council.cheers john
