Has anyone been out Chucking lately?
Hi All,
just wondering if anyone has been making the most of these fine evenings and getting out for a chuck?
I have a few clips which I'll try to put up over the weekend and 2 really good night time one's.
Ever cast in the dark with a tip light on your lead?
It's like Star Wars!!

I still haven't got my eventual casting rod, I'll be practising my multi work on my bass rod. I hope to get a zzipplex, but still don't know really I think I need to maybe try some rods out, but Primo Synchro would be what I'm hoping to get if they work for me.

Got out for a few yesterday, tryin the new (Ebay) 4500HPM Zippy with the lighter leads, it's a beauty for them. Got a few good ones away then PaddyC put me under pressure with a few Monster casts and I cracked off twice in a row!!
I find I'm making small adjustments everytime I'm out and when it feels right try sticking to it. Plenty of work to do but making steady progress.
Was hoping to get up to see the UCC on Sunday but it's not lookin great weather wise :(
Eoin I hope to have a new Primo soon so I'll keep you posted.

I was out today on a nearby sports field trying out my new Sl20SH and the first time I tried out my Mag Elite. Just getting used to the CT cages, can't wait to get a more powerful rod to put some welly into it.
I managed one rough crack off with the slosh and one not so bad birdy on the mag elite.
I've put the large red brake blocks in the Slosh to slow it down for now.

what rod was that paul? lidle do a depth counter for a fiver that can be attached to the rod once you have cast, and simply place the line around the wheel and wind in as you do so it clocks up the metres, there not 100% but should give you a rough idea give or take a few metres.

Cheers paddy. I will have to get one of those depth counters.
The rod is a Cono Flex 147 max.
It is rung half and half. Will suit f/s or multi. Fixed reel seat in the up the butt position which I don't like but it is working.
In fairness to kstaff he has taught me one thing

But I'm still not as good at it as him
