People:me

Catch and Release:: Yes

Report:

having had a pretty good day at this mark last week with the thornbacks i decided to give it another bash today. conditions seemed perfect when i arrived but after having 8 dogs in the first 6 casts i kind of gave up hope on the ray and concentrated on the dogs. didnt give in to the thought of throwing on 3 hook flappers and go doggy bashing in the hope that there might be a ray lurking around the place but 6 hours and 27 dogs later i gave up on that idea. interesting how in the space of 1 week so a mark can fish so differently. the tides were the exact same, as was the bait, only difference was that i used 80lb hook lengths and there was no sun or wind, and to think i was just beginning to think i had this whole fishing lark figured out...................

funny alrite but there was a big difference in the wind and the size of the tide over the 2 days i fished so possibly theres something in that. get much in kinsale, have to do a bit more fishing down there this year. looks a pretty untapped resource
