Frozen baits in Cork

#1 Post by Billy the bass »

With the recent debates on the quality and price of frozen bait in Cork I would like to inform you all of the opening of the old Riverside angling shop this weekend by my old mate Kevin Brain of K.B. baits. Kev who would be famillar to readers of the Irish angler and Sea angler mags is a shore fishing guide and mover and shaker behind Waterville sea angling club (great lads) his bait is top notch and reasonable in price. Vote with your feet and get some quality bait.

Is he stocking other sea gear or is it still mainly fresh water kit(if it's the place i'm thinking of it used to be mainly fresh water gear)...

I was talking to Kevin Today and John from Limerick angling center has just got another delivery of his bait. None of the other Limerick shops are buying from him. There seems to be a marked reduction in bait quality in Munster. It amazes me there is anyone willing to use the crap some shops are selling.

i hit the wrong button then,
i normally have to travel further to get decent bait, he's a good guy always has a kettle on the boil and time for a chat,
he also donated leads / swivels / beads / line and more when i told him the amount of gear i was losing at the E.F.S.A Home Nations Championship, talk about rough ground,
must give him a bell see if he got crab.

your not wrong there man i searched all over for best price on a penn Ruffstuff and 525 mag reel when i showed john the price i could get them in england he beat it saving me post & packing,
needless to say i stuck with him, its not often you meet a man that makes a living selling a product and at the same time will tell you where to dig or collect your own for free,
