i fished the beach in a while back and had whiting, codling, coalies, dab, flounder, and something else i cant remember what.
if i remember correctly it was an all lug affair for the round fish and maddies only for the flats. at this time of year on fish baits i would expect to account for dogs, huss, smoothies and ray, especially with you casting abilites. tight lines

Its all dogs in that area at the moment, they will talke almost anything when they are in. You can expect smoothies over the next month and the occasional huss and ray. Depending on conditions and dates (after the ban) bass could be available. If you are into the mini fish then the usual dabs, flounder whiting etc can be caught in close. Crab is best if you have the time to get it or are willing to part with the cash. Let us know when you are over and we may join in.

You know I'll be watching
In my experience, picking peelers around here in a pain in the rear. A quick trip to Dave's Tackle in Ardcavan is well worth it. He has a good stock of frozen too. Rag can be had there too.
Redmond's shop in Ballygarrett will possibly have Rag that weekend too.
