Mate and I hoping to make a 4hr journey to Tralee in the next few weeks in search of Ray and a few pints at night time...Heard of a few marks there but does anybody know how they are fishing? best tides, ebb flood etc?. Or are there any "guides" that could put us on marks at the right times?
As I said its a fair aul trip so would just love to get a few fishes for our efforts.....and strictly catch and release I may add. I've had 2 ray in dingle few years back but my mate never caught one.
Thanks guys , any help appreciated.

I was in the Maherees the weekend just gone ,from what i've seen there is not much been taken there (saw 4 or 5 guys fishing there but not taken anything :( )plus i was talking to local guys who also said fishing is poor in this area.
Although they did say fishing back towards Tralee is more productive, also on the South side of the peninsula is fishing well.
There is a locally produced magazine/book that gives all the local areas to fish(you should pick one up in the local shops).
As for where to get bait i'm not sure where the nearest place to get it is :? (normally i buy it in Landers which is now closed on Sundays apparently) maybe one of the local lads can help???
