People:Myself & M.b3

Duration:5hrs

Tide:rise and ebb

Weather:Lovely and Warm

Bait:Rag,mackeral,lug,mussel

Rigs:3 hook flappers

Results:Flounder,Dab,Plaice,L.s.d's, Whiting,Corkwing Wrasse, Long spined sea scorpion.

Catch and Release:: Yes

Report:Good days fishing at Greystones loads of species... i think we had about 30 between the both of us,Getting more or less a fish a cast right from the start

plenty of double shots too which you cant complain about! Most of the fish caught were flats with most of the dogs & whiting coming just before we left! Tried for Mackeral aswell with no luck..ah well it could have been worse!

All baits seemed to work as well as the other but most were thrown together anyway!
I'm sure Mark will fill in some more details..i'm just too tired!

had two plaice on the south beach last year on green crab fishing strips a double shot of good size also had whiting and doggies on them tried the lug worm ones in brown but they didnt seem any use
nice fishing lads it seems the harbour is starting to get back to form

Good fishin lads, are smooth hounds a possibility from the beaches in greystones? had a walk out ther a week ago on the south beach, two dead scoolie bass on the shore at the top of the south beach... Didnt loOk like theyd been hooked , strange

prob a result of the lads pumpming for razor etc, they tend to kill alot of fish in the bay by accident

maybe fish that were c&r ed and didnt go back well, if deep hooked they only have a 50/50 chance at best luckily most bass dont take the hook down far at all, sad to see all the same

the lads that commercially fish for razor and other shell fish just blast the sand off of the bottom and scoop up anything that happens to be burried inside, often the force of the pump used to blast the sand at the bottom kills the fish that are feeding there

thats seems pretty wasteful and unsustainable - do they need a licence for this - sorry for going off topic
