It seems female sharks can give birth without mating with a partner. Scientists in Northern Ireland have been part of a project to find out how a baby shark turned up in an aquarium in Florida, when no males had been in the tank. Ray Kennedy reports.

guppies can do that too well kinda one maiting can produce several generations with one mating that or he is the evil one

Some species of shark can store unused sperm for very long periods of time when conditions are not suitable for gestation, and can get pregnant when conditions are perfect.
Some species of fish are also known to do this.

This doesn't seem to be the case here. Genetic tests showed there was no paternal DNA.
