liscanner
boyice thanks for the tips on arklow had great sport, try the left side of liscanner pier for mullet, slice a frozen mackerel a few times an hang it on line just below water level you will see real fat mullet pulling at it,
i used a fly rod / size 12 hook / dust shot lead helps put the pea sized mac bait on the mullets nose,
keep the bait in view, soon as he takes it tighten the line dont wait to feel the bite, fishing just left of the steps 2 hours before h/w seems to work best for me,
steps can be slippy but handy for netting fish,
it was around this time the past 2 years that i fished it,
i will try find out if the mullet are there at the moment but its worth a look its only down the road from Doolin,
be lucky man..
