Paddy, come down to the mouth of the Dodder on the flood, go to the barrier there just by the toll bridge. Get them feeding on bread then pop out your size 8 with some bread on.
I've a notion to start trying there a bit myself in the next while.

R. Lee cork city, took the pic from my apartment really spending 2 much time watchen em in the river :roll: :roll:

As Spurs_boy was sayin the river bed is a disaster ud be suprised what youd see on the bottom :?

when mullet shoal in rivers like that are they feeding or do they come in like that to spawn? theres a river here in swords with shoals like that but only for 2-3 weeks in the height of summer

fishinmidget, do you know where the record was caught? I know of a 9lber caught in Killybegs, thought maybe that was it?

I was wondering that too, the group in this photo were taking bread when i was chucking it at them, they were waiting for the tide to come and get over a weir, i noticed bigger groups then this further up the river staying much lower and they wernt a bit interesded in bread! :?

taken from the specimen fish committee record page. i wouldn't be surprised if the record was broken at killybegs because of all the fishy remains dumped off the boats.
