Hiking boots?

#1 Post by markj »

Hi guys,

Just curious what type of boots any of you use for rock fishing, that gives good grip in the wet, the auld wellies or trainers are a bad job!! I was thinking a good pair of hiking boots would do the job?

Mendl army pro or mendle army gore are absolutely fantastic boots, the pro ones come half way up your calf and suit me nicely, they are fully waterproof and breathable top notch boots the gore ones are simular to the pros but only come a bit above the ankle. bothretail for about 170- 180euro

I use the Ron Thompson Spider boots, which are almost identical to the boots that Lidl were selling a little while back as diving boots.
They have great grip on the slippery rocks but aren't that sturdy.

i use a pair of berghaus gore-tex boots and i would rate them very highly. 100% waterproof and very grippy sole and it has a 3 year garantee on the waterproofing! i paid €120 for my pair.
