Hi Martin been there a couple of times and never went on a charter, mainly due to the ridiculous price. Seen many people come in empty handed and another day during a "festival" when they brought everything in including a massive hammerhead shark that was left rotting in the sun on the harbour . But if you really fancied it you could book it down at the harbour when you are there.

The mullet fishing in the harbour is fantastic, providing you do it from the rocks underneath the restauraunt across from the pier (you'll see what i mean), otherwise "la policia" will give you the no pesche all the time. bread and size 8/10 hooks on 6lb line behind a bubble float will give you all the sport you want :)

I went on a charter. huge boat and was hung over to bits and caught nothing. there was 20 or more on our boat and we were bottom fishing and no1 caught anything. then went trolling for tuna but never even got a bite-and if we did it would have been a fight between 20 of us for who was gona play it!!

Believe me you should take a cheap fly rod(lidl 5 weight is fine) and some white flys had some of the best fishing of my life fly fishing for mullet in the harbour. bring any stale bread you have and use it to ground bait then cast the white fly and hold on for dear life. a size 10 hook with a bit of cotton wool works but it will only float for the first cast but you tend to catch the bigger mullet sub surface. You can also catch mullet anywhere there is water if you groundbait it about an hour before,

Best of Luck

Chris
