from 50 yards out you will have clean sand and very little snags. you get big huss, doggies, rays and in close you get wrasse, Pollock(big ones) and conger. that species guide is only the common fish and you can catch nearly anything there. you don't need anything else aside from mack and sandeel as far as the bait is concerned but i suppose a bit of rag or crab would be useful if you want wrasse. it fishes on all states of the tide.

best way to get there would be to drive up to Doolin and follow the coast road for approximately 10Km..
the only way you know you are near the area is there is a few area's on the right hand side of the road where you can pull the car in... also keep a keen eye out for numbering on the stone cliff on the right, it is painted in white and is marked from 1-22 then further along is 23- etc etc...
the second set of numbers is an area that is quite dangerous to get down to if you are by your self.. due to the fact that you have to climb down with the aid of a rope (that is usually there, but sometimes not)
for saftey make sure you have a mobile with you, if you are on vodafone you should have a signal most areas along there.. the other network operators are a bit patch so be careful in choosing your spot..
other than that, its a great area to fish, plenty of dogs wrasse pollock and ray, mackerel and sandeel are tops for bait with worm and shellfish baits for wrasse...
