Anyone know where I can get a video showing the Yarmouth back-cast. I know you need a 15' Rod capable of throwing an 8oz lead. I have the basic gist of the cast but I need to see it in Reel (pun) time.
The man says a cast of 200yds plus is easily obtainable. Can't be bad.

I don't think so but appears to be a little like it. The Yarmouth is more like a cross between a sling shot and a centrifuge!. It looks somewhat lethal if you get ig wrong, 8oz's of lead at Mach 1 could really ruin a bystanders day...........................
Don't know why I came up as a guest?........

I Havent been able to find that vidcaps i was telling you about, i have to cast prefectly visible in my head but to put to words or draw a better picture than those are to difficult for me...Jack-the-Fish wrote:Hi fogelberg,
The geocities Yarmouth back cast is a stick figure copy of the description in Tony Whieldons book. "Continue to build up the pressure turn the body. Point the Rod in the direction you wish to cast and release the lead." :?:
But what i can put to words is following...
the pendulum action described in the stickfigures was on the video at the beginning a pendulum action and just as he turned his torso towards the direction to where he was casting the last pending action was a full circle, as he turned the torso he pulled the rod with him gaining force to the cast.
Do not dispare, i will keep searching for the vidcaps.
PS. I know this isnt it, but im posting in anyway:
