People:me and hush 1

Duration:sat night sun morning

Tide:full to low to full to 1/4 of ebb

Weather:in your face nice surf

Bait:LUG rag and hush had some pickled crab!(all fish on lug bar two on rag)

Rigs:3 hook size 2/0 hooks

Results:11 bass and 3 flounder

Catch and Release:: Yes

Report:arrived at the beach at 8 15 pm full tide and couldnt set up quick enough the wind was howling nicly and a good surf full of weed greeted us at the waters edge . hush had never caught a bass and wanted to go to visit uncle cortaz but alas the mighty waterford was to far this trip and i promised him at least one at this spot , not thinking he would catch more than me!!!!!!!!(his days are numbered ) hush hit first with a 38 cm one then i hooked up (same size ) hush took a small one 1.5 lb followed by another 3 lb er then payback was mine as a plump 5 lb er came breakdancing onto the beach oh ah were,s the cigar, hush was having none of it and pulled in one 3lb er , i had another plus a small flounder ,once the tide was half way out the bites stopped and we retiered to the comfort of our vehicles for a cuppa and a kip @ 12.30am
Round two 6am woke up with all the sand fleas that stayed the night with me :cry: and gave hush,s jeep a light tap to waken him :wink: made tea and set up the weather was a bit less windy to start off but soon picked up the tide was 3/4 up and full of weed again the fish started to bite as soon as the ebb started and hush was first in, the bites were taking longer to come in daylight , hush pulled another as i managed a few small flounder and managed the last one before we packed up and had a well needed fry up from the terrano cafe and headed home (both knackered and wind burnt) :D :D :D p.s till now hush had never caught a BASS :!: nice way to start and well done :D

I recognise the beach but from looking at the sand on the bass in the top photo Id say it was taken on a different beach from the one in the daylight session, may be the Burrow or Rostoonstown.
