A couple of points Sean, to do the cast properly, the line has to be kept tight bewteen the rodtip and lead, so the hooks should not fall out of the clips, the second point is that if you make up your clipped rigs with gemini s.r.t springs it will keep everything under tension and the hooks won't fall out.

only problem i can see with this cast is when you are fishing a venue with either sand or shingle or stone with a grip lead or is it just i,m looking for problems :? myself i use a pendulumn but would love to learn this cast as a safer alternative in a crowded area (like pegged match conditions) could someone please advise  thanx

Thats a good point Will, in my experience the leads liftoff from the beach is nearly instantaneous and so there are not problems, but I do know one or two people who place a 15" long piece of plastic gutter on the beach, and place the lead in it to avoid snagging, using it as a launch surface.

i was thinkin that too. crowds in summer also. although i reckon my full pendulum is safer than flat casting or aerialised of the ground as i come over the top. snap off should head out to see, although has not happened yet and long may it last! :)
