Donaghadee Pier 03/05/07

#1 Post by Livid »

People: Me, Drew

Duration: 6pm - 9:30pm

Tide: Low, slack, push

Weather: Calm, Bright

Bait: Rag

Rigs: 1 hook peternoster / floaty bead, whatever drew used

Results: Ballan Wrasse, Corkwing Wrasse, Coalfish, Pollack, Blenny?

Catch and Release:: Yes

Report:

Headed down to the pier for a few hours with drew to get out of the house, i just used the ugly stik tonight and ended up with 1 pollack, 2 corkwing, 1 blenny and a ballan. One Corkwing seemed to have a massive gut on it, seemingly was pregnant? :?

Yeh, I noticed that to with a few of the wrasse I caught. I thought that they had just been feeding well. Does anyone know their spawning time and at what age/size they start?
