it pays to ring and book bait in advance (2 days if possible ) or u will end up with none stick with one supplier if possible as loyal customers will always be accomadated better than one off buissness . southside , baumans and viking are all grand for bait if u cant get home quickly with it dont forget a cool bag and ice block in this weather worms turn to mush very quick  i thought there is a tackle shop in tallagh or do they not stock bait ?

Tallaght Rod & Gun will sell most baits and there is a shop in Lucan but this time of year you will not get shops selling fresh lug. You,ll get all the frozen lug you want and you can get fresh rag but not fresh lug.

They tend to be more in demand as a bait in the winter months. Some stores will sell them at this time of the year, but as mentioned by the guys, it's better to book the bait as the shop will let the supplier know and you'll be getting fresh bait.

Would you personally just use rag instead of lug at this time of year?
