It saw a super day as this venue do not produce fish of that size so early in the year. Would be expecting to catch fish up to 10lb later in the summer from here. Had not fished this venue in years and full credit to wrice for showing me the track again. Even at one stage it was the blind leading the blind.

The plan was to use up the 100 or so king rag, I had in the fridge for the last two weeks, wrasse fishing. After 15 minutes of wrasse fishing without a bite and William shouting "I'm in again" to hell with the wrasse.
It was a strange kind of fishing as Will woukd be into a fish a cast and I'd be on 1 in 5 it would then change and the majority of fish would be on my side of the rock

what were ye getting them on, heard there was quite a few showing off the old head on the boats, think a few into double figures already, which is about a month earlier than usual.
shore species 2008(25):dogfish(3.1lbs), bull huss (12lb 2oz), bass, shore rockling, coalie, whiting, pollack, conger (22.4lbs),flounder, thick lipped mullet (4.8lbs),turbot,ling (11.2lbs),ballan wrasse(4.5lbs), cuckoo wrasse, pouting, poor cod, cod (9.5lbs), dab, 3 bearded rockling, long spined scorpion fish, corkwing wrasse, plaice, trigger fish, sea trout, garfish

Nice bit of fishing Donal, we'll have to organise a trip sometime soon.
