lads can anyone tell me what is the best type of mooring to put down for a 1.5 tonne boat

very much depends on local conditions how sheltered are you? what on the bottom (of the sea!)is how deep etc. my boat is a little lighter than yours and has a resonably sheltered spot in 2 fathoms (low water) on a mud bottom and i use a 5hundred weight railway wheel and its never let me down YET!! but a mud bottom is by far the best if you can get one and you need something heavy and flat. on rock a very big anchor is probably best.
