Top Ten Bass Lures

#1 Post by Pat »

With the bass fishing hotting up thought I might get people's thoughts asto the best bass lures. Often on the Sea Angling Shop sites you come across lists of the top ten bass lures. I think many are designed to catch the angler rather than the fish. So here are my top ten that have actually worked for me:

1. Rapala J14 Green Mackeral Husky Jerk
2. 125mm Green Mackeral Alie Magnet (Floating)
3. Rapala J14 Silver Husky Jerk
4. Green Redgill (Original)
5. Rapala Sliver (Blue)
6. 28gm Silver Toby
7. 18gm Green Toby
8. Green Rebel (Jointed)
9. Silver Rebel (Jointed)
10. Storm 4" Shad

Obivously, different lures work better in different locations. So what works for you? What's your top ten?

I've only caught on bass bullets when I reel in as fast as I possibly can, the bait is hardly in the water!

Dont have ten but my favourites are in order of how often I use them:

Yo Zuri Crystal Minnow - legend lure. Every Bass angler should have one
Yo Zuri Mag popper - all four main colour types - savage lure
Kilty Lure - Green - Tends to take smaller bass
Rapala J 13
German Sprat - old favourite - my "RECON" lure - usually first into a mark I have not fished before. Have hundreds of them

Lure thats I have which should work but dont :
Bass Bullet - not convinced (not giving up on it yet)
Dexter Wedge - yawn....

I pretty much have every lure you can think of but I find the above the best and tend to use the other patterns if the above have not produced.
Top 3 lure caught bass 2017 :
10Ib 5 oz
9Ib 2oz
8Ib 11oz
