People:Me and mate Al
Duration:10.30pm to 1am
Tide:High water was around 8pm
Weather:Mild but windy and wet
Bait:Mackerel, razor and sandeel
Rigs:Running ledger and flapper
Results:Bass, flounder & coalfish
Catch and Release:: Yes except the smallest bass
Report:First time fishing the famous Inch and even though I missed out on the bass It was a productive session. First cast the mate wound in a 5 pounder and on of all things but a strip of mackerel, lovely looking fish and quite fat. After admiring it for a few moments the fish was released back into the surf. Two casts later the fecker had another  ,at around 2 1/2lb it had managed to swallow the razor so was knocked on the head.
All I could seem to do on the other hand was catch flounders, 6 of them altogether, up to around 35cm. All the bigger ones were quite thin obviously not long back from spawning. I had fish every cast on the flapper rod it was just that my bait put out for the bass never moved except when a flounder managed to gulp down one of the full sandeels I was using.
Best of the fishing was in the first hour and it gradually tailed away after that as the tide dropped away. Hope to get out again on Tuesday night when the wind drops

Nice report Pete, the last 2 visits I've had to Inch with bigcol he has been kept busy with the bass, while I've had only a few flounder
We were down there on Friday night, Col managed 1 bass 1.5lb and numerous Flounder, I did try most of the night with mack strip as well.
All that weed came from the mussel dredgers on the backside of Inch, I was out in the boat on thurs night and they were dredging, there was loads floating away from where they were, shame its been clear for quite a while now.
