SEAi fishing course

#1 Post by countryjimbo »

I recently did a Shore fishing course with SEAi. I found the whole day to be extremely productive, learning in a very relaxed setting and Jim's approach to everything he does is excellent.

We spend the morning learning approaches to shore fishing and techniques and making our own traces.
I got a lot from the trace making as previously I found it a bit off-putting but not any longer. Sure you can buy rigs reasonably cheaply but now I know exactly what's going into the rig and how strong it is, also being able to adjust a rig to suit the conditions is essential in my book.

Following a short break we went to the beach and with a few casting lessons were fishing in no time at all, using the rigs we made earlier. Throughout this session we covered bait preparation & presentation. Also learnt about picking out the better spots on a beach to fish.

Overall I would recommend this course to anyone who's starting out shore fishing or looking to improve.

I had my 9yr along for the day too and he really enjoyed it, and caught his first flounder which left him really pleased with himself! :D

Regards,
James.
If people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing rods.

I can certainly vouch for Jim as an Instructor & guide. He gave myself and two friends a great demonstration of surface lure fishing last year and helped us with our watercraft to insure we caught in the future.

Wouldn't hesitate to recommend both beginners and seasoned anglers alike to take some of the various courses Jim has available, impossible not to pick something up which will help you catch fish in the future :!:
