Was up for a days pleasure fishing with some of the GADSAC lads 2 weeks ago. Fished for 5 hours and between us we landed only 2 butterflies, both around the 4-5lb mark, we lost a few in the tide and we also caught a few dogs.
Fishing was slow overall on the day for us.

It was the same old story from the lads we were talking too. " You should have been here last week! We had a ball"!

I've heard mixed reports from Fahan so far. Mostly 'yes' the guys are getting a few but not in any great numbers yet. Those are they guys I know are telling the truth.

Hope this helps

Steve

Thanks Steve.

I find Fahan always fishes pretty slow until later on in the summer, thats why I was just wondering was there any sign of any at all yet!

If I can talk a mate into driving I'll give it a bash towards the end of the week and let youse know.

Do any of you Derry (or surrounding) men drive?

Unfortunately my fishing trips are quite limited as I don't drive myself and have to rely on either me Da or a few mates to take me out.

I'd be willing to share fuel costs etc, if there were seats available.

Cheers,

Gary
