LIMERICK shore mark 21/4/07

People:me

Duration:3pm-6:30pm

Tide:low at half 3

Weather:mild day,gentle westerly

Bait:mackerel,sandeels

Rigs:up & overs,portsmouth loops

Results:11 dogs,1 ray 4ish lbs,1 dab :D :D :D

Catch and Release:: Yes

Report:good days fishing with alot of the dogs coming in doubles(probably trebles if i used the appropriate rigs) and also the first ray from this venue this year. think i had one cast the whole session without a fish and i was testing squid on this cast in blind hope of another ray but there were dogs on the hooks 5 minutes after casting :shock: so the ray had no time to get to the bait. fish coming at around 140 yards and was still catching up to the last cast.....not much else just that i also spotted dolphins for the first time this year in the estuary, a sure sign the water is getting warmer.

Well done Gearoid. If its the spot I'm thinking of then all these dogs must of been a shock from what you tell me. I was raging I couldn't make it out with this SW wind. I hope to get out this Tuesday but will be out Sunday morning for a low water session if your on.
