Bangor rock mark latest

#1 Post by Davy Murdoch »

People:me

Duration:7:15pm-9pm

Tide:low @ 9ish

Weather:cloudy,mild

Bait:big rag!

Rigs:fixed pat 3/0 hook

Results:cod.

Catch and Release:: Yes

Report:Started off at Pickie Breakwater but it doesn`t fish too well on a dropping tide so the fishing was pants and i only had one poorcod. :( So i packed up and headed for the usual rock mark.First fish came after half an hour and it was a nice red cod of about 2lb.I lost a few rigs and fish before the rod doubled over when i was trying to tighten the line,i actually think my old pike rod couldn`t have bent anymore :shock:The whole time i was reeling in i was hoping for it to be a wrasse but after a few minutes i landed my personal best shore caught cod of 4.6lb :D which was almost as good.That was the last fish of the night.

incase you have noticed my grumpy face its cos my camera wouldn`t give me time to smile :roll:

I was fishing about 50-60 yards out,its about 80 yards at low tide before you hit clean ground.Its a cracking spot for wrasse,as so much of the bangor marks are.I`ve had half a dozen cod in 4 sessions,most over 2lb,They are a welcome supprise when wrasse fishing :)
