Just wondering if anbody has one/can recomend one.
I had one and found it very usefull but incredabley I lost it
I still can't figure out how or credit that I did! I went to get it from the shed the other day and it was gone from its hard carry case. It must have somehow fallen out last time (the prvious day) I packed it up after a fishing session without me noticing??? :cry:Still baffles me how I didn't notice it wasn't in the tube when I put it in the car and I'm very annoyed wih myself. :x :x Especially as I searched the ground incase I had left any beads/small bits and the fact I may have walked the whole way back along the beach with an empty tube!
Anyway (sorry about the above little rant) the upshot is that I'll prob get another, mabye the same, I had a Fladen Maxximus 6 piece, which despite the stigma of the brand I found excellent.
It's horrible to have an unexpected expendature like this so hoping to keep the cost down, any info welcome. :D

THanks for the replies :D Will check out that website. The SRE is a great rod but I'm lookin for something that goes smaller.
Mac, I found the fladen pretty good compared to what I was expecting but in saying that I have little knowledge about rods so amn't the best to judge. There are better 2/3 piece rods for the price.
It is pretty light and holding it while wrassing or using it as a spinning rod for heavier lures wouldn't be much of a problem at all. Bite detection is very good but it is quite floppy. It's rated up to 8oz but I'd only be comfortable with up to 5oz.
Prise wise its similar to the others such as fox trek or veals 6piece(have read good reports on both). Overall I find the size handy and it gets the job done anyways

yes mac they are some rod mate ,exceptional for a three piece rod,i had a greys triplex 16ft version didnot like it at all to be honest ,but i have had a chuck with an sre and they are some rod, think they go down to 5 ft sections ,not sure!!!!only worry i would have is chucking a 175 grm lead with it ,seems to suit leads up to and including the 150 grm.cheers john
