Fahan Marina my friend. May be a bit early yet though.

Also, saw a fella float-fishing bread in the Foyle last summer, right behind the Derry City Council offices, where that wee pontoon thing is. Apparently he landed four the previous night...

Down around the wee promenade thing in Donegal Town always seems to be alive with mullet during the summer months also - just down at the bottom of the hill as you take a left at the Diamond if you are coming into the town from the Derry direction, heading on out towards Ballyshannon. There's a wee jetty thing there too if my memory serves me right.

Never fished for them before myself, but I'll definitely be giving them a go this summer.

Might be something to do with the raw sewage being pumped into the estuary there....
Its called fishing, not catching. If it was called catching it wouldn't be fishing!

hello mc, one of the best mullet marks i know of, is the estuary at
castlerock-portstewart, can really throw up serious fish starting
around may, bread works well along with the small estuary rag-worms.

Yeah why not, i'm based south at the moment but that could change at any time. Have a few other spots west of Donegal Town that hold brutes, not in same numbers but of a larger average size  .
