went out searching for that elusive doggy and wat ever other species i could tick off of the list. started off pulling in doubles of small whiting and codling from the 1st cast. eventually got the doggy so i was happy to tick that off of the list eventually. got fed up catching small whiting and codling so i brought 1 rig in very close and put on the shamrock anglers tears rig. had planned on finishing at about 10.30, but at about 10.25 i got an almighty whack on the rod in close, i thought it was going to be a very decent sized wrass, but it turned out to be a 3 bearded rockling of 1lb 10oz (just 2 oz off of a specimen). packed up aa bit annoyed that the rockling didnt make the size but all in all it was a good nights fishing.
