People:Me, Graham and his girlfriend

Duration: 11.00-1700

Tide: ht @ 9.00

Weather: Amazing weather. 19C

Bait: Rag, Mackerel

Rigs: Flatie shinny rigs, three hook flapper & Clipped

Results: 14 Plaice & 2 Flounder

Catch and Release:: Yes

Report:

We went to cushendunn for the high tide around 9am. Didnt manage to catch anything at all on this beach.
I tried spinning for some cheeky polloack at the rocks but none where showing up. So after a nice cup of tea and some breakfast we moved onto waterfoot.

The pier was pretty much packed with just enough for 2 more rods to be set-up from ourselves.
From past experience there isnt much distance required at red bay pier.
I rigged up both rods with 3 hook flappers and set them about 30-40 yards into the channel. after leaving it a couple of mins I got some really nice knocks. Lifted into it and low and be hold I was rewarded with a nice treble shot of Plaice. From then on in it was frantic bringing them. The bay pretty much came alive with everyone catching some fish

I caught 9 Plaice and both Flounder. Biggest Plaice at 32cm

Graham Caught 5 Plaice.

I cant believe I actually got sunburnt in mid April. Great Weather and great fishing to top a fantastic day off.

All fishing were returned alive.

Below is the second set of fish brought in.
