Summer School 2006 - Students give teachers a pasting!

"It was bigger than dad's!" For all you juniors who delight in showing us up from time to time, get your pictures and stories in here. Not forgetting you old fogeys who may have a picture or two kicking around from a bygone year of your first catch......

You're trying too hard. The bass can sense that ;)

Easter hols - and start of the fishing season for the kids. Didn't do too bad with four bass and one flounder on their first session.

Make that fishes.

I'm a newbe to fishing having only went a dozen or so time as a lad with my dad. About a month ago my nephew asked me to take him fishing and I took him to the place my dad had taken me to learn. This trip sparked an interest in me and I'm hoping to get into this fishing lark having had half dozen trips since and planning my first boat trip with Hamish out of Red Bay in early August.

Anyway my nephew's first cast produced two codling (I hope that's what they are as I said I'm new).

I only had my phone to take the picture but it was a beautiful day and a great first experience for him. We went on to take a few wrasse and some very small pollock.

Looks like you were at garron point from the photo?

Good spot which can throw up fairly good fish.

I know there was a 12.5lb pollock caught and released there recently. 8)

Good luck to both of you and your new hobby.
