some of alirncasters casts are shockingly dangerous, severly dought
if he would actually be allowed to cast at a uksf event using that
360 degree turn, way to dangerous.

i think the uksf rules say you aren't allowed to put more than 360 degrees of rod rotation in the cast. however, if the cast is performed under controlled circumstances by experienced casters then there is no reason for it to be dangerous

360 degree power stroke. All those casts would be allowed!

Check out the Scott Selby vid - 275.1 meters.
Check out the 3 steps vid and Rock hoppers too. My heroes!

You can see more of Tommy on this site

http://www.sportcastusa.blogspot.com/

He seems to be winning everything he enters over there right now, he came second only to Big Danny in the Primo Event last year.

Sorry Tom  I wish somebody could mistake me for a guy with a cast like that!! I'm like the guy at the very end!!

Ps my missus is on route to the states any pointers for those Avet reels?

Cheers,

Keith,

I answered you post about them on the other forum.

The two best sizes of the Avets for shore work are the SX and the MX.

I know a few of the American tournament casters who own Avet reels and use then from the shore, but to my knowledge none of them use Avets over grass, even magged they don't seem to have an edge over the tuned up Abu casting reels.

you want to see it in person, blink and you would miss it, the same goes for scott sellbys hit,,,his is Ferotious and over in a split second!!!
Tommy has been hitting consistant big numbers on all the heayeier leads and has changed back to his FT,s as apposed to his TT-R...

Idpearl- regarding the 360' rule if you look at where he is after he sets the cast up and is ready to apply the powerstroke, he has done all his body rotation (ie-the little skip) and is only taking the lead from about 260'-280' which is still legal, unless deemed unsafe. So when are you heading back to join up,,,??

Good question Paddy!

Next stop is a casting tourny on the East coast of Malaysia 2nd June, followed by a fishing tourny the next day. I'm trying to get down to Singapore to cast with those guys after that. Just hope I can get the hang of the anti-clockwise Chris Macey conversion!
