Got pretty much two of everything, some things even three and four!
Bringing three family pals out sea fishing with me next weekend thanks to Lidl.
Sure the stuff isn't state of the art but what an incredibly cheap way to get started.
Since this is my first post instead of lurking then I guess I look like an advertising monkey for Lidl but I don't care! :)
Next stop. a short course on fly fishing, now that i have the full oversized get-up.

Thanks for the welcome chief! Spent the day walking round my workplace with my reel and rod! Its been years since I've fished with new gadgets and gizmos, the room seems half luminous with floats and squigly rubber thingies.
I'm looking forward to spending a few days catching up on old threads here, a huge mountain of invaluable info. Are there any members who are notorious wrestlers with the truth here?

I got the filleting kit, one night fishing set and one of the other small accessory kits. Some of the stuff definitely makes it worth the price although there is a bit of useless rubbish in with it.

i got a couple of the freshwater reels which for the price are very good, the fly gear too was good, and all the reels looked fine. the boat set looked pretty ok to get you started

the other rods and the nets looked rubbish, as did the rod rests and some of the kits

got one of their beachcasters last year - and it is sound enough

wee fly rod is great tho the line is pretty crap

got a pair of their footless waders last week - third paddle into the surf and got that lovely soggy foot feeling - got my 7euro back tho so cant complain :-))

in general found there stuff decent enough given the price

If anyone can find any left buy the Line!!!! I got 2 packs of it approx 17lb .35 and 22lb 300 and 350m spools for 2.99!! very soft sits on the reel well and comes off without any hassle. Blowing up reels almost daily now so for 2.99 you can't go wrong, ohh yeah the line is dark brown so it looks good too on a black reel!! Suits you sir! There's lighter grren stuff too.
