My first and my biggest ever bass at 8.75 pounds.
I was just 15 and was walking back along the beach with bros and sister towards home. Decided to stop in this sandy cove and throw out a few lugs. Left it there for 30 minutes while we were messing about.
When I went to take it in, everything was slack until suddenly all hell broke loose on my small rod and reel.
Eventually got it in, it was well dark and we had never seen anything as big before. I was afraid to touch it so we rolled it in to a jumper and brought it back for identification.
I have been trying without success since to replicate that experience!

Was lucky enough to get a 37lb monkfish in Tralee bay. Cant say i 'll be repeating that feat in a hurry! It came up very easily but then went ballistic in the boat.. with everyone standing on the seats as it snapped at anything it could get a hold of. Although under pressure to feed the masses i was pleased it was tagged and returned.

Ireland a 45lb tope in Carlingford using s boat rod and a president deluxe loadoed with 15 lb line, the fish had two good runs line getting very low started to get line back when the anti reverse s*** itself, managed to get the thumb on the spool to stop a birdy then had half an hour of panic to get it to the boat delighted when it turned out to be a specimen!!!

new Zealand my first ever kingfish, holy s*** those boys rock, best ever fight 15kg on 6kg outfit was totally bollocked after.
same place multiple hook up of yellowfin tuna five rods, two hand lines and three people on the boat smallest 20kg biggest 35kg,best fun was the 25kg on a handline crazy!!!!
Wiring my first striped marlin, grabbed the trace after 40 mins then the fish ewnt ballistic, had to let it go twice before we landed it 100kg!!
Wiring my first blue marlin, this thing hit the lure and had about 1000 yds of line out before w e got the other rods clear,an hour later we had it by the boat it was massive took two gos to get to the boat it went apeshit each time, finally got it 181kg(400lbs) seriously strong fish wehn you are holding on to the leader there is a pic in the album section `my old office`

Have to be my first and only Bass caught last year at browns Bay. Total thrill to catch it and total pain as I didn't know how to handle it and got spiked in the hand by its dorsal fin
